Fine Quality Stylish Solid Walnut Towering Pair of Turned and Carved Single Light Candlesticks of unusually tall proportions, late Nineteenth, early Twentieth Century, possibly of English origin.
Each modelled in the Louis XVI style with turned and fluted carved detail, above a swirling lower bulbous column ending on a circular spreading base.
Condition: Professionally re-polished retaining good surface patination. Their original heavy gauge firm fitting drip pans are present. They seem to have been in the past wired for electricity, small loss to base at rim edge.
